Music
All Pinewood children 'do' music (perform / compose / listen). 75% take up an instrument and can belong to Orchestra, Wind, String, Brass and Percussion Ensembles, Jazz Band and Rock Groups.
Children have passed Grade 8 and performed in the National Youth Orchestra, The National Youth Jazz Orchestra, IAPS National music courses and local music-making / theatre.
Children, teachers and parents sing in 'The Pinewood Choral Society', recent works include Mozart Requiem, Vivaldi Gloria and Rutter Requiem.
The Chapel Choir (SATB) sing regular services in Bourton Church, the carol service in Marlborough Chapel, occasional services and funerals locally, and went on music tour to Salzburg in 2007 singing in St. Peters Basilica.
Recent fully-staged musicals include: Bugsy Malone, Annie, Grease, The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady and Little Shop Of Horrors.
There is a concert series in Pinewood's Drawing Room which has included The English Mozart Ensemble, The Boyan Choir, Pianoforte and instrumental recitals.

Instrumental Lessons
Visiting staff provide tuition in the following:
Violin, viola, double bass, cello, guitar (accoustic and electric), flute, oboe, clarinet, alto saxophone, cornet, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, percussion (tuned and untuned), piano (classical and jazz) and singing.
All children learn to play their own and school instruments as a class activity, as well as lots of class singing.
