The Pinewood Jazz Band have been asked to perform at a fundraising musical evening in Lambourn on Friday 6th June.

The evening is being held in memory of Judy Gaselee and will raise money for the Cancer Vaccine Institute at St George's University of London.  The institute is the only charity in Britain specifically funding research to find, develop and offer better treatment for cancer through vaccines.  A local charity will also benefit from the evening: the West Berkshire Volunteer Drivers, who provide assistance to those unable to use public transport.

Music will be provided by Derek Paravicini on the piano; Craig Pilgrim with the singers Carolyn Bartholomew and Jamie Lonsdale; the Lambourn Chimers and the Pinewood Jazz Band.  This is a wonderful opportunity for the Jazz Band to perform in public and help raise money for two very worthwhile causes.
