Well done to all those who performed so well at both events.

27th Pinewood Inter-Schools Athletics Meeting 

On a lovely Thursday afternoon, Pinewood hosted the team meeting for the Alexander Cup.  There was some highly competitive athletics, but Beaudesert managed to win outright with Pinewood finishing 2nd, St Hugh's 3rd and the Dragon 4th.  The competition for 2nd place was really tight with only 13 points separating the 3 schools. 

Individual winners:  2 wins for Islay Kingham and Henry Alexander;  1 win for Lauren Elias, Matty Littlehales, Amy Cooper, Phillippa Hall and Ted Slater, plus first in the U12 and U10 girls realys.  Congratulations to all!

Winchester House Athletics Meeting

Children from 11 leading prep schools competed in the 35th Winchester House Meeting.  The standard of competition was exceptionally high, but the 35 Pinewood children thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.  We gained 4 first places: U13 Long Jump (Lauren); U13 Girls Relay (Lucy, Lauren, Jessica and Matty); U12 Girls 800m (Amy) and U12 Boys 800m (Henry).

Many of the children achieved personal best performances.  It was a great afternoon of athletics.
