Postbridge Charities Day - 19/06/2008

This Friday 20th June Postbridge will host a Charities Day with a difference

Postbridge are raising funds for "Passing It On", a charity set up by Mrs Griffiths brother, Jim Macdonald.  They have already raised enough money to build a primary school in Kenya: Tenderfoot School and hope to raise more money to build a secondary school.  For more information look at their website: www.passingiton.org.uk.

All Prep children (not just Postbridge) will come to school on Friday wearing either a Superhero costume or home-clothes.  They need to bring £1 for the privilege of not wearing uniform and a minimum of £1 to take part in a whole school Superhero challenge event!

All 218 children have been placed in teams of 10 or 11, of mixed age and gender.  All 20 teams will take part in a Superhero Circuit with events including a Superhero Dash, Pull the Pig, Balance the Banana, Shepherd the Sheep and Pond Relay.  Details about each of the five events will be given to the children on the day.  Each event will be manned by at least two adults.  There will be various prizes to be awarded on the day e.g. Best Costume Worn, Best Costume Designed, and Winning Team etc.
