Pre-Prep & Nursery

Pinewood Pre-Prep and Nursery has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where children are encouraged to enhance their full potential. Through continual praise, support and careful nurturing by a very dedicated team, our pupils become well-rounded, inspired, happy and confident young people with a continued desire to learn and achieve their best.

The Pre-Prep and Nursery are based in their own buildings opposite the main school, giving the children the benefit of their own working environment and the ability to use the school's wider facilities. Being outside is also an important part of life at Pinewood. We are lucky to have wonderful grounds, which include a multi-sensory garden, an outdoor classroom and outdoor speaking and listening circle.

The staff of Pre-Prep and Nursery are committed to creative teaching, nurturing the individual needs of pupils whilst providing a safe, loving and secure environment.

Parents and pupils' families are an important part of the Pinewood community and are welcome to see the children in action in special assemblies, plays and on sports day. Staff are always happy to find time to talk to parents.

Pinewood Pre-Prep consists of a Nursery (3-4 years) and two parallel Reception classes (4-5 years).  These children follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum and are called 'The Early Years.'

The Pre-Prep also consists of two parallel Year 1 classes (5-6 years) and two parallel Year 2 classes (6-7 years).
