Six of our Year 6 children worked alongside an Economics A-Level student, preparing a business pitch for a new healthy snack. They had two hours to prepare a presentation as well as an ingredient sheet, and then gave their presentation in front of a panel of young enterprise professionals, as well as 55 Year 6 children from other schools. The presentation included important business considerations, such as brand, cost of production, selling price and advertising plans, and overall the judges’ feedback was very positive. This was then followed up with a marketing quiz in which the children had to identify 20 different brands, and name 5 different entrepreneurs.
Overall Pinewood came 3rd out of 10 schools which was a super effort given some very strong competition. Well done to everyone who came, they did Pinewood proud!
