Year 3 had an exciting day at Highclere Castle as part of their History topic, here are some their thoughts on the trip:
"The Secret Garden was magnificent; the gardens were wonderful and beautiful. We saw a huge Cedar tree.
We dressed up as princesses and kings. I liked Tutankhamun’s bow and arrow. The hunting horn was silver and gold. My favourite treasure was the statue of Anubis."

"On the coffin we saw a heart being balanced on the scales; if you were bad they would be unbalanced. We dressed up in Pharaoh’s clothes and jewels. We peeped through the flaps (into Tutankhamun’s tomb) and there was lots of treasure.
Lord Carnavon was one of the first people to get a motor car."
