National Riding Success!

Lily Laughton 5th in National Schools Championships Oct 16 news crop

Huge congratulations to Lily Laughton, who represented Pinewood in the NSEA KBIS National Schools Championships 2016 at Addington Manor during Half-Term. Lily and her pony, Armada Dyffryncothi Bridget, were 5th in the Elementary dressage. A fantastic achievement, well done!

Congratulations to Lily L, who has qualified for the NSEA Championships in October and the Winter National Championships at Hartpury in April at Elementary level.

jumping with style at Wickstead Sept 16

Well done to the Pinewood Equestrian team of Rex, Tara and Alice, who came 4th in the Jumping With Style competition at Wickstead this weekend. They have now qualified for the NSEA (National Schools Equestrian Association) Plate Championships to be held in December.

Success at the Tudor Hall NSEA Event

Well done to the Pinewood Equestrian team, who had a super outing to the NSEA Showjumping event, held at Tudor Hall at the weekend.

Alice O’Brien won the 50cm individually with William Staunton coming 3rd. A team of Alice O’Brien, William Staunton, Annabel Brown and Charlie Smail then went on to win the 60 cm event. All have qualified for the National Championships in October. A team of Serena O’Brien, Faith Jolleys and Mahoney Knight also came 5th in the 80cm and 2nd in the 90cms event.

Very well done all in the last event of the term, we are proud of you. Good luck to Faith Jolleys, who leaves us this term, she has been a key member of the team.

Members of the Pinewood Show Jumping Team travelled to Kings Equestrian Centre in Herefordshire on 11th June and competed in the schools NSEA Championships Qualifier, coming third in the 70cm competition and qualifying for the NSEA Championship Plate Competition taking place in December 2016 at Keysoe in Bedfordshire.  The team included Lily Powell on Danny, Faith Jolleys on Tulip, Serena O’Brien on Paddy and Tara Lockhart on Tyger. Serena went on to have a great clear round in the 90cm and was placed 3rd individually.

Well done to the Pinewood Equestrian team, who competed at the Stonar Inter-Schools One Day Event at the weekend. Serena O’Brien, Lily Powell, Daisy Amin and Mahoney Knight came 9th in the 80 class with great double clears all round; whilst Faith Jolleys also had a fantastic double clear on her new pony in the 70 class.

50cm Grass Roots Winners

Congratulations to Willow Amin, Rex Knight, Charlie Smail and Angus Smail who won the 50cms Grass Roots class at Rectory Farm last Sunday. They have qualified now for the NSEA Grass Roots Regional Final. Bertie Smail has also qualified in the 40cms with his brothers and Willow again, coming 3rd in the 40cms. A team of Mahoney Knight, Daisy Amin and Serena O’Brien were 6th in the 70cm novice class and a team of Poppy Amin, Faith Jolleys, Alice O’Brien and Tara Lockhart were 5th at 50cms. These included some lovely clear rounds from Daisy Amin, Poppy Amin and Faith Jolleys, who was also individually placed.

We congratulate Faith Jolleys, who represented Pinewood at the NSEA (National Schools Equestrian Association) Show Jumping at Cherwell Equestrian Centre on Sunday and came 2nd as an individual in the 50-60 class qualifying her for the Regional Championship Finals this forthcoming winter. Alice O’Brien, Tara Lockhart and Serena O’Brien also represented the school and rode beautiful rounds.

Well done also to Tara Lockhart who came 2nd in an inter-schools combined training event  on 6th June at the Manor Prep School.

West Midlands and Wales regional NSEA winners crop

Congratulations to the Pinewood Equestrian team of Daisy, Serena, Mahony and Faith, who won the West Midlands and Wales regional NSEA (National Schools Equestrian Association) finals on Sunday, jumping a course of 60cms at grass roots level with 0 penalties.
