Pinewood pupils achieved 5 golds, 14 silvers and 6 bronzes in this year’s UKMT Junior Maths Challenge. Over 250,000 pupils from across the UK sat the paper, with roughly the top 6% receiving a gold certificate, the next 13% silver and the next 21% bronze. Daniel Ayres won Best in School, while Gregor Hawkes and Ben Cowling won best in Years 7 and 6. Dominic Kelly and Gabrielle Steg also won gold awards.
