Charities
We feel it is important that the children are aware of giving to charity through the fun they have at FOP events and that they know which worthy causes they are supporting; each school house and the Pre-Prep, therefore, chooses a local charity for FOP to support each year.
Our current charities are as follows:
Pre-Prep: Bourton Village Hall & Tiny but Mighty
Farnborough: SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn & their Parents)
Melchet: CALM (Children’s Cancer & Leukaemia Movement Swindon)
Motcombe: Prospect Hospice
Postbridge: T.E.A Project (Training, Empowerment & Awareness for children in Sri Lanka)
In addition to our charities, thanks to FOP, Pre-Prep are sponsoring three children in The Gambia through Project Gambia, providing funds for them to attend school for a year, get a school lunch every day and receive a new uniform. Pre-Prep has also adopted four animals at Cotswold Wildlife Park, which Year 1 delight in visiting every year. In addition, we have developed strong links with local primary schools, providing funding for specific items required by the schools (such as an outdoor playground canopy for Bishopstone Primary School).
As a committee, they have a lot of fun and are always looking for volunteers to help at events. If you think you would be interested in helping us, please speak to Nicola Bailey or any member of FOP.
