Congratulations to our U12 Silver and Bronze Elite Epee medallists, who competed at Manchester at the weekend. With national competitive fencing slowly re-starting, the organisers combined U12 and U14 age groups to give all the girls more fencing and, at the end of a tiring afternoon’s duelling, Eva S and Bea B came away with Silver and Bronze respectively.
Eva said “It’s great to be back fencing competitively after an almost two year break and even better that Bea and I were there together. It was a bit daunting fencing nationally for the first time, but I had lots of fun and can’t wait to do it again in February”.
Bea added “This is my very first competition and I chose to do a national grade event so I learnt lots. Fencing U14 girls was a real challenge, but shows me how good I can become”.
They both said “We’re both very pleased to come away with medals!”

Pinewood pupils were immersed in a day of discovery for our annual Whole-School STEAM Day. It was a day where Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics converged in a display of creativity, leadership and collaborative problem-solving.
